I think it's not correct.
The priorities are simple, what is above will overwritte what is underneath.

So if you declare your mesh like that, it will be overwritten by the mesh contained in the sceneries above, like Europe etc...

The correct way is simple:
- The default FS stuff goes at the bottom of the list. Nothing should ever be installed with a lower priority than the FS default stuff.

- All meshes (and I mean JUST meshes, not sceneries that contain mesh+lanclass+some special objects) should be put immediately over the default stuff, but always under the other addon sceneries.

- Addon Sceneries must have higher priority.

You say, it is not correct?

I think that is the way I have it.  FS Global, which is my main addon mesh is right on top of all the FSX default stuff.  All my other addons are on top of the FS Global mesh.  Please look again and see if what
I am saying is correct.

Ok meshes go at the bottom of the priorities, but in what order do the other addons go? UTX, FTX, Landclass etc. Which must have the higher priority?? If there is an order.

Help I'm confused......which is nothing new  ;)  ::)

I have searched for answer in this forum but unable to locate it, I seem to remember NickN gave his 'order' somewhere but it evades me at the moment so if anyone can guide me it would be much appreciated as always.

I place all of my addon meshes above FSX default files and below everything else; UTX above meshes; if you use another land class like scenery tech or FSG etc you must nest between urban and vegetation - see dedicated UTX forum for more info http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=19 ; all detailed scenery (airport or otherwise and with or without detailed mesh) above UTX.

Hi Folks

re: Meshes
Irrelevant of where you place them in the list,
FS will ALWAYS use
the HIGHEST RESOLOUTION mesh available, (active),
for your flying locale.

Landclass, scenery, and excludes are treated differently.

Making use of that, I keep all my meshes in separate folders (never integrate them with the default Scenery folder otherwise you can never  troubleshoot by simply switching the problematic mesh off) in a batch exactly as described - above the default, but below everything else.

The only potential pitfall in this arrangement comes from having two identical meshes overlapping on an area - e.g. you have 38m mesh for France, countrywide, and an addon airport has its own 38m regional mesh for the airport environs) then the sequencing once again resumes a priority basis.

Using the simple `system` outlined above, it's very easy to find any mesh giving trouble and just switch it off temporarily by just unchecking the box... 8-)
