You know, the one at Chicago, it was one of my favourite fields in FS2004 but it ain't there in FSX, all it is now is a bit of sagebrush-covered prairie; I tried landing on it for old times sake but my wheel snagged on a bit of high chapparal stuff and crashed

If I remember correctly Meigs Field closed down in real life a while ago. I am not sure about Sim though.

Not sure about the library here, but using Meigs as the search criteria at Avsim, I see three related files under FSX scenery.

Meigs closed in 2003 if memory serves - a sad time indeed.

Good hunting!

Yeh there is a Meigs Field download for FSX.

Though, I remember crashing every time I entered the airspace for some reason... Like invisible walls. And I crashed every time I selected it as my start location.

But it exists.

It was probably offered up and traded away for a senate seat

The problem of the Meigs scenery for FSX is that the author forgot to "clean the place" before adding his buildings, and unfortunately in FSX there is a lot of autogen there, which appears on top of the tarmac...

Maaan how much I'd like to takeoff from Meigs in a Camel in FSX, turn left then try to pass between those antennas then turn right to line up with the runway again... good times...  :-[

It's available to add to FSX but as Daub says - the autogen is probably on top of it ...
