The only answer to that is "Practice, practice, practice,..." until you're tired of helicopters. Then practice some more.
Also, there's an add-on from a group called "Hovercontrol" (I think that's the name of the group and the DL, and their website), that makes hovering a lot easier.

Are you using a Joystick or Keyboard? Flying a chopper with the keyboard is very hard if not impossible(I know what I'm talking about - I failed nearly one year); I now own a gamepad and since that flying a helo is (nearly) as simple as a fixed-wing (needs some practice anyhow)! ;)

Check out the Hovercontrol website:
http://hovercontrol.com/This site deals exclusivly with all things realting to Helicopters and they have some excellent
Tutorials available. Many very knowledgable simmers frequent their forums also.
Good luck!

If we are talking about the same page (
here), then there are no lessons for FSX - just FS98, FS2000 and FS2002!
:-?

Set all your joystick axes to maximum sensitivity, and drop the null zones down to zero. The trick with helicopters is small, slight movements, and constant adjustment of the throttle.
When you want to move the helicopter forward, you tilt the nose down, but you have to increase the throttle to keep from descending. When you want to slow down, you tilt the nose up, but you have to decrease the throttle to keep from climbing.
When you hover, you slow down until you hit 0knts (which can be tricky, sometimes you don't level off in time and you start flying backwards). But then the chopper has a tendency to fall, so you have to put about 80% or more throttle to keep it steady, and you have to make tiny corrections to keep in a hover.

Yep, and keep a close eye on your vertical speed indicator. There should be some FSX tutorials using the Robinson R22, two if I remember correctly.
That's really all the instruction I can give, I just kinda....do it--don't really know how to explain it, lol.
