Hey alrot I have similiar specs to yours but I cant even play fsx at all stutters like a jack hammer with Nicks new release I am going to try to install agian but how do you get shots like you post. My specs
E6300
8800gt 512
3gigs 800
320 gis Sata drive
XP pro 64bit
I forgot to mention I have ran thru Nicks xp tweaks and the last time I tried to install fsx I used WOAI at about 60 percent with cars at 4 and all boats turned off.

Your system should be able to run fsx at a decent rate. Try turning traffic down around 20% and move your GROUND TEXTURE details down a bit. (Mesh doesn't hit frames hard)
I have similar and a bit less specs as you and I run everything but traffic and weather on high. Also, try turning your weather settings down. ;)

I have my AI world of ai airlines and cargo set at 40 cars at 5 and boats ships and ferries at 0. my sliders are about 3/4 of the way and its just not playable at a tiny airport with no scenery around its fine but Miami, NewYork, etc.... it stutters so bad I cant even tell were I am. the framerates about 13 or 14 there and 19-25 elsewere.

I know my processor isnt any good for fsx but I thought by turning most of the AI off and setting the rest lower it would help but alas it didnt really help at all. On a bright note Nicks new textures look great!!  ;D when I could see them amonst the shacking. LOL

Yes, definably I never complain about my FSX performance ,I have always ask to myself and I never could understand why many people has so many troubles with FSX,Not even when I had a Pentium 4, 1gb ram

Thanks alrot, the only diffrence in your setup and mine in usually run at 1400x1250 the native of my moniter. I'll check out those clouds and try that thanks agian.

Make sure you defrag after adding the new textures.
