Check the FSX misc. addon section here, page 9 has 3 of the Acceleration carriers you can use in free flight and start on the deck from. ;)

FSX Plymouth GPS Carrier for Acceleration Users. This add on includes a static GPS enabled Acceleration Carrier with cat launch and arrestor cable. The user can start direct from the deck and find it by GPS. Also included is a moving version between set hours from Plymouth to Lands End passing a local Naval Airport at predannack (future expansion plans). The user can elect to start on the deck before sailing time.

Enjoy your toys! :)

There is also an addon module that allows you to call up carriers in free flight, and land on them with fully operating cables and cat launches. The module also allows you to controll their distance, direction, speed, and heading... 8-)

Is that for the flight deck thingy or is that a different deal ? That does sound pretty cool. 8-)

There are some default aircraft carriers that supposedly travel around in Free flight, but I don't know when or where they are.

As for the carriers you can place:

It's not for FlightDeck, it's just for FSX Acceleration. This freeware module works like a charm. While you're in flight, you call the module which displays a communication window similar to the ATC one, and you get the various choice to make appear a single carrier or a complete fleet, 1, 5 or 10 miles ahead of you, make them go forward, left, right, stop etc... very very cool  8-)

They are talking about the AICarriers add on.  It's in the download section somewhere and allows you to place carriers anywhere you want with working arrestors and catapult.
