how do you maximize performance and quality?

How do you maximize FSX's performance, but keep quality very high, like in the pictures on the cover?

(excuse me while I move my joystick...)

What I do already is-
-use both processors (which both are above the GHz of what microsoft says is required)

A very, very, very, fast computer - like an overclocked Core 2 quad, or Core i7. That picture was pre-SP1, and at that time, it would of been unplayable on any computer.

I've somehow managed my 1.2Ghz to run with normal autogen, and maxed out scenery complexity without killing the framerate (unless I'm in Tokyo, then it's a tad slow).
