Parachute recovery systems

Has anyone seen any free/pay-ware aircraft with functioning parachute systems like the Ballistic Recovery Systems parachute?

Just curious.

I think he may be referring to the BRS like the Cirrus is equipped with.  There is a SR-22 Turbo that was recently released for FSX that does show the parachute, but doesn't do much.  There was one for FS9 that was fully functional and you could glide down under.

Yes, the FS9 model was a Cirrus SR-20.
It was a very good model, with a excellent virtual cockpit and a good flight model. It also had this parachute recovery system that was working pretty well I have to say.

And it was freeware!!    \o/
Look for it in avsim. There's not so much Cirrus around :)

The FS9 model was working fine in FSX prior to SP2. In FSX SP2 I don't know...

I have sucessfully installed and tested the freeware Cirrus SR-20 from Wolfram Beckert, Guenter Kraemer and Thomas Roehl into my FSX SP2.
The plane works perfectly, all the gauges are there and the recovery parachute works as well.  8-)

Sweet, gonna hunt it down.

It will be my first time in a Cirrus, too.

I mostly stick to the Censsna family and Maule.
