I have no problem turning the master auto pilot switch on, altitude and hold course but i can find no way to set the course setting. When i turn on the master hold course it always seeks a heading to N. Altitude has + - buttons that make it easy to set that.
How do i set heading ? I flew a long flight in the 737 and there was a knob as i remember to set the course heading.

Course and heading (they are two different things) can be set on the HSI (the instrument resembling a directional gyro, center of the panel).

Set heading with the heading bug..

Set course with the CDI knob..

Thank you
I found it, was overlooking it when scanning the center panel. Also expected it to be some where near the main auto pilot panel. Lesson learned.
