Voice in free flight ?

I have the basic game with sp 1 and 2 and wings of power WWII fighters.
In the missions menu flights i have voice and radio voice depending on the nature of the flight.
In free flight i have none. I'm starting to fly longer flights with a starting airport and a destination airport. I would very much like to have voice with air traffic controllers, tower controllers etc.. Am i missing something  or is this not possible with the setup i'm playing?
