FSX Acceleration No Multiplayer

Hello, I needed to reinstall FSX today because I was missing my Boeing 737-800 in the game.  When I installed FSX it asked to be activated and that went fine.  The side panel for multiplayer was there.  But when I installed Acceleration it didn't ask for an activation and there is no multiplayer tab anymore.  Is there a way to tell FSX to activate?  Or do you think there's something in the registry that wasn't cleared to queue an activation upon installation so windows thinks it's activated but the game thinks it isn't?

Alright, I solved the problem.  I uninstalled both FSX and Accel then deleted all files left over after the uninstallation.  After that I ran CCleaner to clean the system registry.  Then in Safe Mode I opened Windows registry and deleted every listing that pertained to FSX or Accel.  Then I installed FSX and activated it, closed FSX, then installed Accel.  This time it gave me the option of activation, which I did, and multiplayer is back.

Sorry for posting and then solving my own problem, but should anyone else have this problem because they need to reinstall the game, perhaps they'll find this thread.

Cheers!

I had tried repair, but it didn't work.

I'm new to the flight sim world and I've been on other types of forums and I just don't want to be the typical new guy with a millions questions when there are already threads containing answers.  Although I'm not great at using search for forums, I usually come up empty.
