A noob question....sorry!

I am out of town and don't have FSX on my laptop, so I can't find this answer myself, but I was wondering if the speed brake can be "armed" and automatically deployed on touch down.   Seems to me this should be the way it works......but again my noobness shows thru.
I presume there are keystrokes for setting this up.   Those would be helpful.

Thanks
Steve Noob :)

Yes it can. Most aircraft with speed brake have it, simply move the speed brake lever down to about 25-30%. In the 737-800 its pretty easy, to the left of the throttle is the speed brake. It says in small words, "Arm". Move the lever down and it will be the first notch to lock into. On touchdown, it deploys automatically.

Thanks, I have noticed it said armed, but was always afraid to look if it actually engaged fully on touchdown.......I'm always busy with "other stuff".

Thanks for that info.

Shift+/ is the shortcut and is more accurate then trying to line it up with a notch you cant feel  ;)

You also get the speed brake armed light illuminating above the pilots MFD's
