screen goes black then white

Sometime ago I asked a question about losing all of my visuals out side of an airplane; eg; Mooney Acclaim. This happens with the airplanes that came with FSX as well as some third party airplanes. Not all of the planes do this.
My computer specs: Vista Ultimate 64bit, AMD Athalon Windsor 3.2 Ghz
4G RAM, 500Gb SATA 7200 drive, ATI Radeon HD 3870 Overclocked 512MB,all of this on an A780VM-M2 64bit motherboard, FSX SP2
My question is this; why would I lose all of my visual details ie..terrain, short final etc? It just goes totally black, then white, and sometimes I get my visuals back. This is very frustrating. I've reinstalled the sim about 6 times. I've also started from the defaults and kept track of all the changes that I've done. I'm hoping somebody here might know something, or at least give me some ideas. Has anybody else gone through this?

I tried that, the same problem is still happening. I bought FSX Deluxe 2 disc setup and I'm beginning to wonder if got a corrupted set from the factory? I dunno...

My system does this (flash black and white) sometimes when it can't handle the detail (computer is too slow for that moment). Usually this results from another program running else where (web browser I forgot to close). Pop-ups from other programs (I have a weather add-on to my browser) seem to cause this along with the Vista side-bar. Perhaps some program running in the background on your system is the source of the problem.

I could be in left field on this but it just might have something to do with the fact you are running a 32 bit program on a 64 bit system. 8-)
