Can someone tell me how I locate my "aircraft.cfg" file? I'm trying to follow instructions for loading a 747-400 sound file, and I can't seem to find anything that says "aircraft.cfg" in the FSX folders.  Thanks for any advice.

The Aircraft.cfg is located in any individual aircraft's folder

Not sure why you need the Aircraft.cfg file to install sound.

Not knowing the specific installation the fellow is going through, however, the

sound=   parameter in the aircraft.cfg file may have something in there.  If you have a variant that uses slightly different sounds, you may point to a spearate sound.cfg directory and file.  (After all, a RR Merlin doesn't sound like a Packard Merlin ... )

More likely the sound.cfg.

The aircraft.cfg is by default located in C:/Programs/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes/aircraft in question.
