Someone else may give you better info but I seem to remember a general consensus was that you needed somewhere in the 3Ghz range bottom line to run FSX.

You might just get in with the graphics card but you seem underpowered all round for FSX.

If you've done all the tweaking and nothing is working then I  think you need to upgrade.

I am finding a good setup with 3.4Ghz Intel Duo,2Gb DDR2 RAM,9800GT 512Mb graphics and 550W power. Even this had me adjusting things for a good display and has taken time to get where I am.

Cheers,

Col.

Don't check the AA box in FSX.

Download nHancer, and go from there.

And set Trilinear filtering in FSX, and full Anisotropic filtering in nHancer.

List all your addons

No addons, mate. All default.

And about that nhancer thingy... What is it really and is it easy to use?

It's a program that lets you change settings for nVidia cards.

And it's very easy to use, check NickN's guide in the XP Optimizing topic, in this forum :)

It can be downloaded from www.nhancer.com.

You need to be using nHancer. Not only will that decrease stutters significantly if used correctly, but it'll make your sim look 10x better.

Simply put: you need to read through all the stickies at the top of  this forum and read all the branched links

I also am having a problem. I have installed nHancer but am getting 2 errors on the opening screen and although I have searched for an answer am not getting any closer. Screenshots of each are attached.

Many thanks for any help. I have been following Nicks extremely helpful threads for a while but cannot remember my login so have had to re-register.

Those aren't errors... Select the FSX profile and edit BOTH the PROFILE and the GLOBAL with the SAME settings

Is nHancer ok for Windows Vista? I'm not really sure what boxes to tick, I'm using a  GeForce 7050 with dual 2.53 ghz processors.
