What did I post about trying to do things 1/2 arse with your own ideas?

As long as you do exactly as I outlined above AND DID NOT SKIP any steps or try and get -cute- or SMART with extra tweaks... and most of them other than what I posted ARE TRASH I assure you... you should now have a very optimized FSX rig

I've now added my hardware to my sig.  If you get a mo Nick, tell if it's acceptable.

Everything, including RAM and Vid card is pretty heavily overclocked.  Temps are low though, and rig is stable, so far ;)

Thanks for that Nick.

The RAM is running at 4-4-4-14 (I've no idea what the '14' is or does).

I was a little dissapointed to hear the P5K-E is a budget board.  I wish someone had told my bank manager that ;D

What would be your current (quad) motherboard choice?

Thanks

Thanks Nick, that's even more stuff for me to work with.

I'm already running the RAM at max man spec (2.2v in BIOS), though according to CPU-Z, it's at 1.8v - interesting.

This board has a large heatsink and pipe setup already fitted.  I've seen another P5K-E without this arrangement.  I think there are many versions of this board.
