[size=14]I have FSX running pretty good with SP1. What if any problems might I have If I install SP2? I have a lot of FS2004 aircraft installed that I'm worried about. Will there be any problems with them? My graphics card is a Nvidia's GeForce 8800 GTS. Some of the new sceneries like Tahiti X

Mostly prop and canopy texture problems with FS9 planes, if it was converted to FS9 from an earlier version it might not show at all. I'm not sure about scenery, I haven't run across any anomolies yet. :)
See the F-117 thread for a common sp2 style issue.

You are still one service pack behind as there is now a service pack 3 for XP. It has been on my system for some time now.  8-)

I thought he was talking about FSX SP2, I could be mistaken though ;)

I have SP2 as do most.  It provides improvements that are detectable.  But now just as important there are many add-ons designed only to run with SP2.

Game over as far as I am concerned.

Who knows, the next round of hardware might allow us to run the RTM very comfortably with good sliders.  (at least we'd get alpha back) But because of the add-ons there is no real choice.

Yes and it does produce problems like rain on the VC turning some aircraft glass black - true IFR but challenging on take-off!

But there are plenty of fixes around - one of the best from Flight 1 as a free download.

But old unconverted FS9 aircraft I think are just not worth the bother.  Go into this site, AVSIM and Flightsim and you will find more than enough freeware FSX compliant planes to suit all tastes.

I think that, with the amount of add-ons coming out now native to SP2, it's worth it. It also gives you a performance boost depending on your system. Personally, I got a great boost. Of course, it's up to you in the end whether you want it or not. Just remember you can always uninstall if you're not satisfied or unhappy with any problems you may encounter.
