Newbie help
Posted: Thu Oct 16, 2008 2:48 amI'm pretty new to FSX, but, I'm LOVING it so far. I'm still in the very early "do this tutorial" portion, and only have a couple hours in. Hopefully this weekend I'll learn a bit more. I've been reading everything I can on the net, but, this forum seems to be the most helpful.
I have 2 questions. One, is a mechanical issue that I know is my fault but would like help correcting it
Whenever I'm flying, and especially coming in to land, I find that I'm a) too high, and b) too fast. I always have the flaps to full (when landing), and usually have the engine at idle, but, can't seem to slow down without going higher. What am I doing wrong? (And, I know it's probably hard to answer that without seeing me do it, but, I don't know if that is possible lol) I've noticed it mostly in the jet mission (first learning mission with the jet, where you take off and land a half hour-ish later, I can't recall the name right now, sorry)
Second question. I would love to fly into my home town, and would like a better looking airport. I have done searches online, and cannot seem to find a decent redone texture of Lansing airport (LAN). Any suggestions? Thank you all for your time and help with the newbie. I'm lovin it so far :D
