FS Insider free gift

For those that don't get or read FS Insider: Text taken from the newsletter

"A Free Gift!
In addition to being professional flight sim geeks, the aforementioned Mike Singer and I are both real-world pilots (I've been trying to get people to refer to us as "Certified Aeronauts," but so far I've failed miserably). Both of us, like so many others in the world, did some of our primary training on the venerable Cessna 152, which is also one of the aircraft that customers most frequently ask us to include in Flight Simulator.

When we were batting around ideas for this month's newsletter, we thought it was about time to give our faithful subscribers a little something extra, our way of saying "thank you for reading this far." So we rang up our old pal Alex Ford at Just Flight in the UK and, after a short discussion (in which we reminded him of a few photographs we had in our possession from the last AVSIM conference), he happily agreed that our subscribers really have earned something extra. With our ongoing humble thanks to Alex and Just Flight, then, it's my distinct, Oprah-esque pleasure to send each and every one of you "back to school" ... with a free Cessna 152 add-on for FSX!

Part of Just Flight's acclaimed "Flying Club X" package, the 152 is beautifully modeled, with a wonderfully realistic "weathered look" inside and out, a great 2D panel and VC, a realistic sound set, an accurate flight model, and a full PDF manual (installed to the Just Flight folder in your Windows Start menu).

Once you get in the cockpit, you may wonder why "BUMFICH," "FREDA," and "HASELL" are written on the instrument panel. These acronyms for the "Before Landing," "En-Route," and "Maneuvering" checklists will be familiar to our readers in the U.K. If you're from elsewhere, we'll leave it to you to research what the mnemonics stand for. Or not.

Mike and I have both been flying this Just Flight 152 a lot lately, mostly re-creating our first solo flights, which both occurred in the mid-1980s (when we were each wearing a younger man's clothes).

At this point, I should offer up some kind of pithy conclusion to bring this month's newsletter to a close, but since you've all stopped reading in order to start downloading, there's not much point, is there?

Enjoy! "

No, when I got FSX and installed it, I got connected to the FS Insider website and signed up for the monthly newsletter. This came from the newsletter I got this morning. I wish I was! ;) That would be sweet!
