Panel problems again...

For some reason I can't get the MFD's and such to come on in the planes that have panels that actualy do work in FSX, like the Accel pack FA-18. I have reinstalled and all that; the plane works and all but I can't get any of the avionics to power up.

It happens after saving a flight with standart avionics are off like the Hovercontrol Bell 412.
Choose a plane with switches for batt and avionics master, save the flight as standart, switch the buttons on and have fun.

It is a lot easier to assign keystrokes for the battery. I use shift B for Battery and shift G for generator. 8-)

Okay, I saved the default flight as a plane with an avionice master and battery master. When the game opens it goes to that flight. But then when I switch to the FA-18, I still have no avionice on at all. And, the power and dimming switches for the MFD's won't do anything even though I get the little hand thing on them and when I click them the hand closes like it is an operational switch. I don't get this at all. I have completely uninstalled FSX and reinstalled everything but I still get no avionics in this aircraft, an aircraft that came with the game. It use to work...i have no idea what I did to make it not work. And if I did something you would think that a complete reinstall would fix it. I have several other aftermarket aircraft with "glass" displays...some of them work and some don't. This is VERY frustrating. What do I need to do to make these things work???

If the aircraft has a master battery switch that works, wouldn't that be the same thing or should I use an assigned key?

Don't have the ac(s) but sounds like these ac have battery switch but no avionics switch??

Have you tried starting in another aircraft with Bat, Alt, and Avionics switches. Start the ac, and all switches on, switch to the FA-18. Do the avionics work now?

Open the aircraft.cfg file look in the [electrical] section:

I'll try it but I don't understand why this stopped working. It has always worked before. I have several planes with glass screens that work fine but for some reason the Accel pack FA-18 and an aftermarket F-16 and F-15, I cannot get them to work.
