Basic settings for an older system

Postby vgbaron » Fri Oct 03, 2008 10:58 am

I have a friend living on the other side of the country who is not the most computer literate individual around. I'm trying to help him get his FSX/SP1 setup via telephone.

His system is an HP 514N with a Geforce4 6200 512M videocard, XP, 1G ram running a 2.4G Celeron CPU.

1) What would be  good starting settings in NVidia CP?
2) Same question for FSX.
3) Would nHancer be of any benefit?

I know I could just tell him to put all sliders left and slowly increase but that might confuse the issue. If I give him a starting point he can compare from....

Been a while since I played with a 6200 on a slow system.

Thanx,

Vic
