hello fellow simmers.... I have been having a problem for some time now....how do you fix the windows on the AC when they are black?

one of them is the tri-pacer by Brian Gladden
another one is the T-6 texen found here...http://www.simviation.com/fsxvintage15.htm
and another one is the simtech P-39

im not sure if it is just fs9 ac's going into fsx or also fsx ac's
normally i just delete the ac's when this happens but i want to fly these now.

thanks for all those who reply

This usually means either

1. the model has no "glass" texture applied to those windshields (not truly FSX compatible) or
2. the alpha channel of the glass texture is not set correctly for FSX.

For the first option there are no fixes except by the owner of the model. For the second option you can find the cockpit texture and edit the alpha channel. If this sounds complicated, then a tutorial on textures may be useful.

It also may depend on whether you are using FSX SP2/Acceleration or earlier versions. I can fly the F-4U Corsair by Guy Hullin in SP1 okay, but the cockpit is black in SP2. I haven't checked why yet.
