Quick question, is the estimated fuel burn in the Navlog indicating estimated fuel burn for each engine or in total?

I believe the estimated fuel burn is in total but I would NOT use that information if your trying to do it realistically.

If you look around you can find a good fuel planner for most of the aircraft in your fleet. A lot of the payware aircraft come with one. I would not use the one in FSX without adding a 1,000 lbs for most jet aircraft and 500 to 600 lbs for prop jobs. 8-)

It's total, but it calculates it on an optimized cruise at the altitude you've set.

So a climb would take more fuel than the log would tell you.

I was wondering because the other day I was flying the 737-800 when I had my doubts about the estimated fuel consumption but flew the flight anyways with a little more than it recommend and then when I was about to begin my approach I ran out of fuel. Luckily I filled her up and restarted the engines in mid-flight.
