Tire contact points

I just noticed that when I change the fuel load on my 747's the tires completely raise off of the ground. Whay can I change to correct this and if I change will it increase the difficulty in landing. I fly with realism set to max. Examples of what I' talking about are below.

This is with 25% fuel all tanks

With 50%

With 75%

And 100%

On the 737 the tires will not come off of the ground the just look more inflated.

Thanks in advance for any help,

well if ACES had any brains at all they would have modeled in the suspension. Thus eliminating the problem. however they didn't so the only way to fix this is to lower the contact points in the CFG.

I don't know which contact points to mess with though. I guess that should have been my main question. If I change the points to get the tires on the ground with 25% load they will look sunken into the runway with full load, correct? If someone could tell me which to modify I will play around with it to get it more to my preference. I very rarely fly with full load anyway and I can always lower the passenger load to offset some.
Thanks,

ok here you have the contact point section for the 747. yes i know there are only 3 points but MS is lame.
the points that you need to modify are the highlighted ones.
point.0 = 1,  -25.0,     0.0, [glow=yellow,2,300]-17.2[/glow], 1600, 0, 2.0, 70.0, 0.5, 3.5, 0.900,  9.0,  8.0, 0, 220, 250
point.1 = 1, -114.0,   -18.0,[glow=yellow,2,300] -20.0[/glow], 1600, 1, 2.0, 13.0, 3.0, 2.5, 0.900, 11.0,  9.0, 2, 220, 250
point.2 = 1, -114.0,    18.0, [glow=yellow,2,300]-20.0[/glow], 1600, 2, 2.0, 13.0, 3.0, 2.5, 0.900, 11.0,  9.0, 3, 220, 250

those are the default values if you want to lower the plane make the values higher. so in this case focus on the -20.0 section and play with that number some ;) try values between -20 and -15 including like -18.5. every whole value will move the point 1 Foot up or down depending on the number used.

so say you put -18 there. you just raised the contact point thus making the gear closer to the ground.

if you put -34 in there you'd have one hell of a hot rod 747 ;D

play around with it and see what you can come up with ;)

Thanks for your help, I got it looking a little better. But, while fixing I came across another problem that I have sometimes. will post another thread.

How is only having three contact points for the gear "lame?"

Aside from which, your assertion is false anyway. You can easily add the auxilliary gear contact points if you wish.

I truly wish folks would quit making specious and gratuitous slams towards our friends and fellow flightsimmers who happen to work at ACES.

If you all "had any brains" you'd stop with the insults!

3 contact points for a 18 point plane think about that. If it was quality product then you wouldn't have to add all those points and go through the pain of lining them up with the tires ;)

Now i understand that ACES can only do so much regarding systems and modeling but something like a plane's foot print should not be missed [glow=yellow,2,300]IN MY OPINION[/glow].

747's are not tricycle geared Cessna's  ::)
