There's no easy way to add VCs like e.g. adding 2D panels! You would have to model the panel - and this would be hard without having all the sources of the builder. There have been threads about it in the near past, maybe try to search...

That's wrong. It used to be true in good old FS9 days but with FSX you can.

You can add the default 737 VC easily in Posky's 737 series.

You need to modify the model.cfg and point to another mdl file for the VC.
___
[models]
normal=OSX738
interior=B737_800_interior
___

But I don't know if it can be done for other models aswell.

Cheers,
Fabian

Didn't try that sofar but surely will! But basically it's not as easy and common as to ad a 2D panel (where you could use a 747 panel for a Cessna without probs)... But I don't think that you could add the dafault VC to any plane you want! Or am I wrong again?!  :-X

You are not "wrong again," or at least not completely...

You can only "add" an xxx_interior.mdl (VC model) to an FSX native exterior xxx.mdl file.

You can NOT do this if the original model (.mdl) file is FS9 format or earlier.

In any case, you can really only accomplish this if the two models are at least similar in dimensions, otherwise your eyepoint in the VC would be wildly incorrect.
