Engines cut out after landing

Postby alb469 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 4:12 pm

I have just installed JBK's comet 1 and 2. I am using the 2d panel {dont like virtual cockpits} The a/c flies very well ,problem is after you land and apply the brakes to stop so do the engines! Makes taxing rather difficult.How can I cure this without having to restart the engines while I am in the middle of the runway.

Another user and I notified this to Jens on the SimOuthouse forum.
Jens answered that this did not occured on his computers where he tested his aircraft, however he advised us to change a paramter in the aircraft.cfg. Here is a quote of his message there:

I thought I had eliminated this problem (the model works fine on both of my computers). Open the aircraft.cfg file, find the line

min_throttle_limit=0.05

in the [GeneralEngineData] section.

Increase the value a little bit, for example to 0.06 and see if it works. If this is not enough, repeat the procedure. Just don't go too far ;-)

Best regards

Jens

I didn't test that yet. If by chance you find a suitable value, it would be cool if you could tell it here :)

Okay Problem fixed I think. Had to set min. throttle limit to .09 for model 1 and from .02 to .05 on model 2. So decided to investigate further and found it is a combination of fuel flow scalar and min throttle limit. increase fuel flow anf decrease throttle limit and vice versa. There is a difference between the 2 models. I believe they had different engines.
