Honolulu landings

Postby TRflyman01 » Thu Sep 04, 2008 5:59 pm

Recently i have been flying alot in Hawaii. For some reason everytime I fly into honolulu int. ATC tells me to land on runway26 water. It doesnt matter what plane I'm in. I tune in ATIS about 50 miles out and it says landing rinway 4R & 4L but ATC still directs me to 26 water. I request another runway and land fine. Yesterday right after landing I heard ATC direct an AI Mooney Bravo to land 26 water so I switched my view to that airplane and sure enough it started to land in the water, lol. About fifty feet from the water it aborted and took off to never return. Guess he was pissed!!!  Any ideas why this has started to happen? I have not downloaded or installed any scenery or mesh. Everything is standard deluxe aith accel. except the aircraft I have added.

Thanks, TRflyman

Thats pretty strange.

You probably don't want to hear this, but I would go for a reinstall...it could be some corrupted file somewhere, or some line of a file got edited somehow....

By the time you try to find it and correct it...it would probably just take you as much time as a reinstall really.

Havent changed anything that I know of. As long as this is the only airport im having this problem at I'll wait on the reinstall. I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else. The AI traffic just threw me for a loop. Thanks for the replys.

Yes I have the same problem. It started after a reinstall! After seeing others have the same error it looks like an M$ problem. It happens wether your landing east or west. I am going to set my winds up and try all runways and see what atc tells me. Maybe you have to learn to speak honolulese.
