I have an aircraft im trying to make work with fsx and the gauges I am having trouble with... i have tried the substitution process and I was unsuccesfull as they didnt show up, So the only true way to make it work is to import the gauges to the right type for fsx....

any ideas?????

When you were substituting the gauges did you do it in the [VCOCKPIT01] section? I tried subing a few 747 default gauges and they appeared, it would just be a matter of finding suitable replacements from the stock aircraft in FSX to make this work, the 320 gauges you have won't work at all in fsx from what I can gather, (this may not be gospel, but my FSX says they're FS98 and no longer supported) If you just replace gauges in the [Window00] section I belive this only affects the 2-d panel, while the [VCOCKPIT01] affects which gauges you see in the VC.

Hope I'm [helping, I've just started to figure this out myself!! ;)

Hi

This should get you started, one problem though, as the VC has the knobs and dials modelled as 3D objects it will be difficult to add some of the gauges as they really need to be placed onto a flat surface in order to be visible, so other than some of the primary flight instruments I

I am trying to get the VC gauges working.... so far I have been replacing both window00 and Vcocpit01 with the default airbus a321 gauges... i can only get the main displays working... the autopilot and clock etc still dont work. but even though the main displays work... when I put the cabin lights on they get a reflective background to them...

nope...... there are no gauges there atall, not in D panel view or VC mode, there seems to be a reflective sheeting where they would be though,

still open for ideas....????

just curious, when you copy the guage, are you just copying th gauge name or the whole line?

ex.
this:Boeing747-400!Autopilot Approach Switch

as opposed to this:gauge02=Boeing747-400!Autopilot Approach Switch,  700,157,25,25

I copy it without the 4 position numbers at the end and after the = at the begining.... why is that not right?
