FSX Waves and Wakes.... Does FSX have a generic file to make waves and wakes.  I thought I had them when I first loaded FSX.  I have asked this question before and someone commented that Ultimate Terrain FSX
USA may have removed the waves and wakes from the FSX main file.
I think the one that responded said that UT FSX Europe would reinstate the wakes and waves file(s?) when it was installed.  Ultimate Terrain is
super for scenery and I have loaded USA, Canada, and Europe...but I would like to get waves and wakes back.
    I thought I had printed the answer, but I cannot find it.  Needless to say I am always tweeking my FS9 and FSX sim programs, and print the instructions when needed.  But then..... you accrue a of of them

      Any Ideas to reinstate waves and wakes??

I believe that wakes only appear if your 'special effects' slider is set to 'high.'

The way to reinstall the wave  effect files would be to reinstall fsx.

However, Open the UTX USA Setup Tool. Under Ultimate Terrain Menu you should see a 'Change fs9 style wave effect' menu.

You can setup configure youw waves to your own taste there.

Correct me if im wrong, but i think the waves should apply to all areas, even though configured through USA Setup Tool.
