Finally getting it

Postby OldReliable » Sun Aug 17, 2008 2:07 pm

After about half a year of owning this game and about 72 hours of flying I am now begining to understand how FSX  works. I am one of those people that you see going off the runway or going off course. But yesterday I made my first good flight with a multiengine aircraft from take off to landing.

Now what I was wondering about is autoland. I hear about how this feature is not in the game and only in downloadable aircraft. How exactly does autoland work? And is there aircraft that I can get with this option? Thanx

Yea, come on man.... the fun is in the landing!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I don't do well with helicopters. And I don't use the ATC because it ends up I spend more time in that then controlling the airplane.

Autoland is useless, Where is all the fun after a 2/3 hour hop if you just let the computer land for you? :-? Kinda defeats the purpose!
If ATC is a hassel then land without it until you've got the flying part down and then introduce ATC, that way the landing part is second nature and you can focus on what ATC is telling you. ;)

Well, the iFly 747 has all the real 747 features. It's free, but confusing.

Confusing... ;D

Reading the 333 pages of the ops manual.... :o

Actually got a good flight in considering... ::)

Besides the FSICPU4 update.....are there any patches or upgrades for the aircraft? I saw a FS2004 patch for it, but didn't think it would work...any thoughts?
