Is there any way to smooth out the panning (with a HAT switch) in the VC? So the camera moves like in Spot View?

Hi,

To adjust the variables, open the CAMERAS.CFG (located with your FSX.CFG) at:

"Drive:\Documents and Settings\"User Name"\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\" folder -(Not the camera.cfg in the main FSX directory.)

Look under (CameraDefinition.002) (this is the virtual cockpit)and change:

HeadingPanRate=75
to
HeadingPanRate=45

This seems to make the vertical & horizontal roughly about the same speed, or tweak them to your preference

okay, but will that smooth the movement so the camera moves like spot view, or just equalize the axis movement? i've tried editing camera types and settings with no avail.

It will slow down the VC pan speed. I think it shuold smooth it out a bit.

I've not tried this out myself, so dont quote me.  :)
