Flight Sim X aircraft

Hi there, I am looking for some advice if possible. I am trying to add a new aircraft to Flight Sim X (well a repaint of the default 737 actually). Now the readme file tells me to copy the texture folder to the 737 aircraft folder in fsx which I do with no problems but then it tells me to copy and paste a paragraph of text from the dowloaded file to my aircraft.cfg file. It tells me where to insert the text and I do that as instructed but when I come to save it I have a message saying access to Microsoft Flight Simulator X aircraft config file was denied.

What do I have to do in order to be able to save the file after I have made the adjustments?

It sounds like you are using vista.

If that is the case, do this:

right click on the aircraft.cfg file, go to properties, and click the security tab. Click the "edit" button next to "to change permissions, click edit". This will bring up a small new window with user names at the top and checkmarks at the bottom. Highlight your windows user name and then put a checkmark in the Allow box for Full Control. Then click OK.  If at any time Windows requires your permission, allow it.

Hope this helps.
