Is FSX is running on all your CPU cores?

I have a Q6600 just like you.
The speed of the cores is only 2,4GHz. I had much better performance by overclocking my CPU to 2,75 GHz (standard Asus AI overclock, in the BIOS). Then of course, you already know that Vista is full of useless, ressource-hungry processes that you must deactivate prior to launching your FSX, right ;)

yes esselback all cores are working...ram working too.....the hiccups are rather annoying..plane stops momentarily, like it backs up, then continues.....very roughly, every 5-20 seconds..
shut down..defender...uac...aero ...indexing...automatic updates on  search, but not download....
