FSX has stop making any sound. No intro music, no engine sound...nothing. I get the "ding" when I select a new plane, but nothing else. I have sound on every other aspect of the computer, just not the sim. I have to sound turned on in the sim (Q), I have toggled it on and off, turned to sound all the way up. I believe I have done everything short or a re-install, which I do not want to do. Any ideas?

Before you reinstall, Double check your sound settings, and if that looks good, just delet the FSX CFG.  (There's a "sticky" on where to find it).  It will rebuild when you start the game up again.

Checked the settings, already deleted and rebuilt the FSX.cfg
I could try the "repair" function. I have a feeling I might have gotten a bug maybe, because I have wierd little icons in front of my web adresses that dont belong

I am game for any ideas....repair did not work
