Engine Start

I have a couple of models whereby the engines need to be started as opposed to most models whereby the engines are already running from the start. After pressing the required buttons (Ctrl+E) however, the engines will start but then they die. The two models were the TU134 and the 717. The TU134 even shows the left engine smoking and then dying down. Any adjustment needed in the config you think. I want to aircraft to start with the enines already running.

Have you tried turning them on from the cockpit with the knobs or buttons and holding them until the engines fully start?
Most of the time I hate using the CTRL+E to start the engines because of how long it takes on jets.  :-/

If not that then there might be something wrong with the starters?

what about the mixture. did you make sure it was full rich. i know that the 737-800 will start and run for about 2 seconds and then stop if the mixture isn't set.

You have to have fuel flow to to engines. Does this process repeat itself?

8-)

By pressing CTRL + E, everything needed to switch on the engine should start up automatically.

Never had problems with all other aircraft except the newly installed TU134 and the 717. The restart repeats itself. The TU134 shows smoke coming out of the left engine when it dies down. Puzzling I say gov'nor.
