I am a fairly new player to the FS game, I love it soo far, but i wanted to try multiplayer which seems to work except for one problem which i am sure you have all heard a million times. Nobody can hear me when i press caps? My Mic is on and it is unmuted.  Anybody know how t fix this  kind of takes the fun away if you can't talk. I had one other question can someone please detail for me how to add downloaded planes? Like where to put them how to add them to the game etc?  Thankyou all very much.

For the mic, go to settings > sound.

Make sure your mic is selected as the input device.

And maybe you're not on the correct frequency?

For adding aircraft, there should be instructions included with most aircraft, but:

Place the folder that has the subfolders panel, model and some others, in :C -> Programs -> Microsoft Games -> Microsoft Flight Simulator X -> SimObjects -> airplanes folder.

Gauges and effects go in their respective folders in the Microsoft Flight Simulator X directory.

And make sure to unzip the files to a temporary folder before installing.

:)

I tried switching the mic in the settings sounds section but it still doesn't work? Does it matter if its plug mic or would a usb mic work better? Whats also weird is my mic is a labtech mic but in my windows it doesn't say labtech anywhere? So all i could choose is soundmax digital audio for mic? Could that be the problem? and if so I am assuming a usb mic would work best in that case correct???
