FSX Concorde by Incognito

Hello Incognito,

I downloaded your Concorde and when I selected it in FSX I got a bunch of errors messages stating the FSX does not support pre FS98 gauges, at that point I decided to fly another plane.

If I remove the gauges from my gauge folder that are causing the error messages will this plane still be useable?

I hope so, it looks great in the preview screen.

Regards,

Rod

He reposted that plane. it was on simviation a very long time ago. The one before the repost has absolutely no problems with gauges. (and it has a very nice VC)

Just a question? If the plane is not fsx ready why would you post it as such. After installing I had to go and remove the gauges one by one. So many downloads misrepresented as fsx. Don't get me wrong I appeciate the downloads. Just don't post as fsx ready when they are not.
Thanks

I deleted it because when some one uploads and say it FSX compatable and it isnt, It royal pi$$e$ me off. I spend the time to d/l it and install it just to have to go through all the "Gauge is from fs98 or earlier"  >:( :( >:( :( >:( :( >:( >:( >:(

ummmm.....

I have the gauges in VC mode...but no aircraft!  If I go to other views it's all good..the airframe is there and it seems to work, flight surfaces and all.....but just when I sit in the VC ...nada!  Make for a great view though...right through the floor!

I only fly in the VC....

wazzup :-?

Without trying it I presume this is yet another FS9 aircraft uploaded as being FSX-compatible when it obviously isn't. This is usually done without the original author's knowledge or consent so please don't go blaming the wrong people.

Note that whoever uploaded the file did not mention his/her name. The name "Incognito" appears against all files uploaded using the new upload system.

Thanks Hagar for your words of wisdom.
I have been following this post because I suspected something wrong with this download, I am extremely carefull about downloading for FSX, since i have SP 1 and SP 2 to accommodate my latest payware models, even Dave Maltby`s Comet and VC 10 do not work as good, but ofcourse Dave Maltby warns you that his model are only intended for FS9.
We all are looking for something for nothing few are lucky to get what they want.
This is a great site with a wealth of information from experts, your help in the past ,Hagar and from loads of others , as increased my knowledge of Flight Simulation and PC files. I have from time to time downloaded and been disappointed even at times had to adjust a few things. But no one on this site as ever taken a penny off me, I have at my finger tips the ability to access advice and info from experts, if you don`t like the download then delete it and put it all down to experience.

Flamed again,
I am not blaming the wrong people. I pay my membership just like everyone else. I think this site is great for the technical assistance that I have recieved and alot of great freeware downloads. I am just asking the people that upload planes not to represent a plane as FSX compatible when it is not. I don't think is't a good thing for simv. I to have adjusted many downloads to work properly and I expect that. To say the comment something for nothing has nothing to do with my post and I don't appreciate the infrence or the comment. If I see something that is wrong at simv I will state my opinion for the betterment of the site.

Thanks Hagar, My comments were not directed at you sorry if it sounded like they were. Hey Boikat; any ideas on how to fix the cockpit windows on the Antonov AN26 VC on military download PG 19. They are grayed out in service pack 2. I have been watching your posts on building aircraft, thought you might know. I was looking in the texture folder and thought it could one of the bmp files.
TIA

I think there is a "Sticky" about that.  I personally do not SP-2, but I did try to instal it, but it caused FSX to puke on startup, since I don't have a video card.  But the 'grayed out" thing has a cure.  I just don't know what it is.  :-[
