If I upgrade my RAM will it make my FSX run faster

I have HP Pavilion dv2000 Notebook with 3.0 GB of RAM. If I add another GB of ram will my FSX run faster with better specs..?
I cant upgrade my graphics card though becuase its a laptop..
At least I think.. :-?

If your running a 32bit operating system, the 4th gig will not be recognized. Not what you wanted to hear,I know.
Even with a 64 bit system I don't think you'd see much,if any,improvement.

Actually the 4th gig can be utilized with 32 bit provided you configure the OS for it even if the OS does not officially reconize it.
However, I doubt that going from 3 to 4 gigs will make much difference with FSX.

What will make it run smoother then? A better graphics card? Cause I have vista basic, 4 gb of ram and a Radeon 2400 HD graphics card an it still runs choppy. Would a better graphics card help me?

FSX is mostly CPU bound, but the more the better.

I cant upgrade my graphics card becuase its a laptop so its good to know I dint waste my money!
