Hello,

I've been setting up FSX on my new machine and would like to know what are FSX's default maximum texture and mesh resolution.

Default textures are 1m per pixel (FS9 = 5m per pixel).
Default mesh varies. Some places are 38, some are 76, and some are 3m !! (Mt St Helens in Acceleration package). I believe some places in USA are 10m.

Alright thanks! I'll set the mesh resolution to 3m just in case and the texture resolution to 1m.

That's unecessary. At maximum, set your mesh to 10m.
Set it to 3m only if you fly over Mt. St.Helens, because I believe a higher mesh resolution in the settings makes a longer scenery loading in the game.

Ground res should be set to 1m, that's right. You can set it lower, but it will only benefit for the textures of the roads and bridges.
