anyone can tell me where is FSX.cfg file located  my addon airplane lost some gauges and a vpilot tell me to change fsx.cfg and reinstall

I know there are cfg for each aircraft but where is fsx.cfg?

and BTW, how to let the airbridge in airport move to connect the jetliner door and to load cargo?

The main FSX.cfg is located in the FSX root directory.  In windows exploree, just click on the FSX directory, and the cfg will show up in the right along with the the other files and folders.

Delete the entire .cfg file.  IIRC, it will be rebuilt the next time you start FSX.

But I'm a little confused by your wording (which would be another reason for caution, since I may not know what you mean exactly), and that is why missing guages would mean having to do anything with missing guages.  Just reload the add-on.  Also, the guages are in ther own folder in the FSX root directory, and again, why would that mean you'd have  to mess with the .cfg?

(How do you lose a guage anyway?  They are usually screwed in!  ;)  )


For the jetways or airbridge, I believe that would be Ctrl+J.  You also must be parked properly.  You can try that and it won't damage anything if I'm wrong.

my problem is:
I have FSX sp2. after installed aerosoft H-1, during the FSX start moment, I met two window asking yes or ok. Just like before I clik yes or OK to allow use addon something, this time I didn't read carefully. just yes or ok. after loading H-1 I found no gauses at the positions for "fuel temp", "altimeter" and "artificial horizantal" gauges. Not black, not white, they are gray background. I uninstall H-1 and reinstall, this time FSX didn't ask me anything, but the situation is same, no those three gauges.

and a vpilot reply and tell me:
Go to the [trusted] section of the fsx.cfg and delete all the entries that say "hughes" ( use Ctrl+F)

Then re-install the hughes, if it asks to click yes, then do it

Now *I'm* puzzled too, because I could have sworn I looked at the FSX.cfg before.  There's a config *folder*.

When you first asked about the problem (and I seem to remember someone asking the same question, but I can't find the thread) was it here, and do you remember the thread title?

I follow Aerosoft Mr Finn's advise resolved the problem , reinstall sp2 and reinstall H-1. the problem caused by sp2. As you said, be careful to treat FSX .

Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Username]\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX


Windows Vista : C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX


Note:

"Hidden files and folders" have to be disabled in order to see this file.

Thats where it was!  It's been a while!  :P

On the startup page, go to "settings", Controls, and select the Buttons/keys.  

That will give a listing of all the commands, current button/key assignments, and allows you to assign new key commands to actions listed, or re-assign them.
