Fast Forward

Does anyone know how to do this?  I want to be able to set a course and fast forward such that the time changes corresponding to my speed and location.  So I could fly from the mainland to Hawaii in an hour.

Just wondering.

Press R then use the + and - on your keyboard to fast forward and slow down. You can only go 16X speed with autopilot on and if you dont contact air traffic control while your fast forwarding your IFR will be canceled just make a new one while flying.

If you go past 4X and then press - till you come to normal speed you will have a small load for the graphics no biggie.

If it doesent work on your keyboard press ALT then go to options or one of the ones at the end and look for SIMULATION RATE.

Hope this helps. ;)

You could always open up the map and drag your aircraft half way around the world.... ::)

But you're missing out on so much more than simply taking off, approach, and landing phases of flight.

There's the challenge of flightplanning, navigating, fuel management, watching the scenery go by around you, experiencing different weather, ect, ect, ect. If you're going to do nothing but take off, and skip directly to landing, you're missing out on a lot.

I actually feel sorry for you if you're going to skip everything between takeoff and landing... :-/

Well I wouldent really do this on every flight. Not even alot of them. I usually takeoff then when I get to cruise I usually fast forward 4X and ill view outside and VC and even sometimes watch my airplane shift and shake from turbulance!  :D ;D Then at desent I go to normal speed.
I dint think it was that bad though but I only do this when im flying the big ones, commercial jets.
Props and such are all normal speed  8-) Even fighter jets.

At least I hope that isnt bad enough for you to feel sorry  :(.... :'(
