But you're missing out on so much more than simply taking off, approach, and landing phases of flight.
There's the challenge of flightplanning, navigating, fuel management, watching the scenery go by around you, experiencing different weather, ect, ect, ect. If you're going to do nothing but take off, and skip directly to landing, you're missing out on a lot.
I actually feel sorry for you if you're going to skip everything between takeoff and landing... :-/
Well I wouldent really do this on every flight. Not even alot of them. I usually takeoff then when I get to cruise I usually fast forward 4X and ill view outside and VC and even sometimes watch my airplane shift and shake from turbulance! :D

Then at desent I go to normal speed.
I dint think it was that bad though but I only do this when im flying the big ones, commercial jets.
Props and such are all normal speed 8-) Even fighter jets.
At least I hope that isnt bad enough for you to feel sorry :(....
