I know a similar question was asked and answered, but I cannot recall the specific topic heading.

It can happen when your BufferPools is set too high in the FSX.cfg.
Another reason, if I'm not mistaken, is missing textures. When a texture is missing for a plane, sometimes it messes up all the model loading, and you get gears above the plane, flaps in the center etc...

That reminds me of my demonic Goose:

Bufferpools, bufferpools, bufferpools. Make it 7M or less. I did and it hasnt happened again  ;)
