f-16 glass_t, now the F1 Mirage too!!

First my kirk olson F-16 glass was colored, now the Mirage too!
whats the fix for canopys ya cant see out of or are colored?
I tried DXT editor, is it the glass_t texture? that didnt work.

Even tried a known good glass_t texture from f-5.
FSX on win XP.

aaaarrrggghhhh!!! :-/ :-X :-[ :'(

Well, you have to find which file is containing the glass texture for the canopy of the Mirage. glass_t is the file for the F-16, in the F-16 folder.
You must first go to the texture folder of the Mirage, and then open the textures with DXTBMP one by one (use the "browse" menu, it's faster) to find the texture.

I did this. read above.
Open with DXT editor, make alpha black (transparent),save.

am I missing a step?

Even went to saved zip of all different 16's, and tried their glass_t files.??! wtf

As "Daube" has suggested, you must first discover which of the files contains the textures for the glass!

There is no "rule" about filenames, so that isn't much of a clue!

For example, the "glass" could easily be on the same bitmap as the fuselage, wings, or landing gear...  ;D

not sure for the mirage. Ill have to figure it out.

dxt'd alpha of glass_t for kirk olson's F-16 to no avail.
isnt that the glass file?
does anyone know?
