Maui hard landings?

Okay well im doing a short flight in a 737-700 POSKY Aloha Airlines flight from Honolulu to Kahului (idk if thats the right name spelt but its the Maui Intl) and im doing my first foggy landing.

Now I get the ILS to work, straight on the runway, desending good to the runway. Next thing you know I landed, put the front wheels down and look down the runway and this looks to be a short runway so I use the spoilers just like every landing. Im landing at like 170 knots and I dint stop on the runway so I do a wrap around, same ILS RUNWAY 2, same procedure, everything is going fine then this landing I try around 150 KNOTS! Use the spoilers and AGAIN dint stop in time.

Now I have 2 questions, is this just a hard runway to land on in this airport..?
My brakes were a little skippy a few flights later..im not sure if they were also when I landed in Maui but how do I make them less skippy and could that of been the factor of missing the runway in this case?

Any help on this airport would be great, and yes I have flown here in real life in a 757, so im wondering how the heck they did it also.. ;D

Tried reverse thrust and/or autobrakes (just a guess)...?!

Autobrakes can be set in the cockpit (or with some key).

To use reverse thrust, be on the ground, have your thrust at idle, and press F2, or drag the thrust levers further back.

Make sure to disengage it at 60 knots though (not sure why...?)

Okay so what im getting at is when I land I do this..

Press / for spoilers (which I already did)
Then press F2
Then once at 60 knots press F2 agian to disengage the thrust levers...?

If I'm in a jet, I will usually auto-arm the spoilers before touchdown--it's the / and the 'shift' beside it, together. I like to have them ready to go so it's one less thing to worry about on landing. Should see a red light come on somewhere near the upper part of the panel (don't remember exactly where)  to indicate spoilers are armed.And I believe it is f1 to disengage the reverse thrusters when you get to 60 knots.

Close: You need to hold F2 for a few seconds to make the revesers go all the way back. F1 goes back to idle. 8-)

Yea, hold F2 until 60kias and then press F1 again to idle it.

Is it advisable to put max autobrake when landing; that's what I tend to do?

You disengage Thrust reversers at 60 kias because in the "real world" they become innefective and will start to suck in exhaust air at that speed.  However, in FS you can use them to come to a complete stop and, in some cases, go backwards. 8-)  Just FYI.

737 isnt designed to land at 170 knots or 150 knots. 140, max - and that's with flaps 30. 130 max with full flaps. Go into joystick sensitivities, in the menu in the sim and make sure there is NO null zone for throttle, and make sure throttle sensitivity is MAXIMUM. Make sure spoilers are armed (press shift /

I don't know how it's called but if you don't use the '.'-button to brake (for example you've set a function of your joystick, or whatever) make sure that in the key/command (don't know how it's acalled)-section of your settings you have the slider at 'brakes' maxed.
I had that problem first: when I pushed the button on my gamepad the red 'brakes' bar on the right lower corner appeared for a second and went out again (so no brakes after a second); after moving this slider it continued braking as I hold the button!
