Bad ATC has disrupted my flying since December when I installed the Expansion Pack. It looks like this or worse 99.9999999% of the time. One in evey 999999999 flights has okay ATC, but never perfect since then. This is what it looks like:

I have just had it with this problem.

I noted on another forum that someone else had the same issue, deleted his FSX.CFG file and let it do a rebuild and it was fine. Its due to Graphic settings being to high, just one of the manysymptons of grapgichs overload.

Try renaming your original FSX cfg file Just change the type file from .txt to .bak .bak is kind of short for backup when you start FSX up it will make a new .cfg file. By doing it this way you can move back all of your tweaks and your starting place as well. 8-)

But this won't erase everything I have installed, right?

Renaming the FSX.Cfg will cause FSX to rebuild a new one, and can solve some issues

It won't delete any addons...

In the catalyst control center set mipmap detail level to high quality - it's located under 3D settings.

This is the exact solution. An ATI Problem.

I also experienced this problem.

Setting mipmap quality to high under CCC helps.

just right click anywhere on the desktop. Click on Cytalyst Control Centre.

Go to 3D settings, look for mipmap setting and set to high.

Woalla, problem solved.

I can't seem to find this control center. By the way, I run Vista (:'()if that changes anything.

Anyone? I would like to be able to fly flights again.

I was searching on the internet, and I found, on the ATI website, that there are no drivers or updates for laptops. Is CCC a download? On the ATI website, that's what it seems like.

I found it. :-[ :-[ Will this bring my performance down to bad? Should I just fiddle with it for a while?
