FSX minimizes

really strange problem, whenever i go to load up a flight, FSX just minimizes to the task bar and the only to bring it back is to select "bring to front" in the task manager. it will some times load up properly but most the time  it just gives me a black screen and the HDD activity LED has stopped being a solid blue looks as if its ideling.

any ideas?

Ok this is a long shot but worth a try.

Go into the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX
Rename the fsx.CFG to fsx.old
When you now start your game everything will be back to default as if you have just installed.
Dont worry you have a backup.
If the problem is solved its some setting you did which will be in your old Fsx.cfg file.

If that does not help, go to the folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files
and move all the files to some other folder.
These are all your saved games and stuff which also remembers your last flight settings etc.
Its possible somewhere along the line you ended a game minimized and it has cached that.
