Joysticks and Tail Hooks

Hey. Does anybody have a way for me to taxi using a logitech attack3 joystick (it doesn't have a halfstick and the stick cannot turn)? Do the tailhooks only work when you get Acceleration? One last thing, I have the rudder set for my two arrow keys (right and left) because my joystick does not have rudder pedals or anything except buttons that do not work. How can i reset my rudder to the center or neutral position? Is there a command I can set? Can I push both rudder keys at the same time?

Hi again :P

You can go to Realism settings I think, and either enable or disable auto-rudder.

This will allow you to taxi by moving your stick from side to side.

I'm pretty sure you can assign a key to default the rudder... Try checking under controls -> buttons -> control surfaces.

:)

You do not need Accel. to deploy a tail hook (on aircraft that have a tail hook). You do have to go to your Control Assignments and assign a key or button to the Tail hook(up/down) event. You might also want to assign Wing fold while you're there.

You'll need a tailhook though, look under 'Utilities' I think, on this site, for instructions on how to put one on aircraft.
