Woah ,hold on there , the reflex effect is only made by the FSX-SDK features ,and it can only be done by the designer of the plane ..

I never heard of placing reflect glasses ,from anybuddy exept in the Specular special effects in FlightSimX material in FSX-SDK

In other words this is not an add-on thing ,it comes with the plane

Alrot, I think he is refering to the reflections that are in fact "drawn" directly on the glass surface of the FSX default VCs. Those reflections are not SDK-related, and they are not "computed" or anything. They are just painted, if you move your head in the cockpit, the reflections will not change :)

vac2683, best thing would be that you post a screenshot showing the problem, so that we can see exactely what you are talking about.

For FSX default aircraft, simply look for a texture file with the key word "reflection" in it, for example:

C172_reflection.dds

Rename the file to something likeC172_reflection.dds.bak to prevent the cockpit window reflections from being displayed.

This way is non-destructive, meaning that the file is still there in case you change your mind!

Thanks Bill, I have the FSD Navajo and it has an irritating 'permanent' reflection of gauges on the lower left windshield.  I will go hunting to see if I can identify the appropriate line.
