Autopilot induced oscillation

Don't know if you guys encountering this problem.... it is with a fresh install of fsx with acceleration.

Whenever i hold altitude with the autopilot and run the sim at 16 x acceleration. the plane (default ones, all of them) start to oscillate up and down, up to +/-1000ft.

This does not occur at lower time acceleration, neither does it occur at low altitude (it starts at ard FL200). I do not have addons for FS, so i do not know if they are affected. This is also not a problem before i installed the acceleration pack.

My question is why in gods earth are you running at 16 x for ???
I am surprised that is all that happens. Nothing in FSX was designed to run at that speed. Good grief man slow down  8-)

In previous versions of FS, it wouldn't allow you run any more than 4x with the autopilot on.  Maybe thats why they had the limit.

16x time acceleration....!? :o

good grief...

Might I suggest finding a cockpit video of some sort and fast forward through that instead.... ;D

Emm.... So I guess you hand fly your 747 from Los Angeles to Sydney on real time?

I always fly in real time, at or very near my computer

In fact, just a couple weeks ago I flew from Spokane, Wa to Orlando Florida in a DC-4. The flight lasted 11.6 hours, and was done in real time, sitting at my computer, navigating with Maps, compass, and my nav radios. Never once did I need to look at the GPS.... ;D

I sure used a lot of sectional charts though....lol

But I didn't think the fuel was going to last that long. I was originally going to fly down to Boise, but when I got there decided to go down to Salt lake City. When I got there I decided to continue on down through Colorado, and down into Texas. I still had more fuel than I had expected, so I followed the coast and ended up in Orlando...lol

Back in the days of FS2002, I flew a B-17 from San Francisco to Pearl Harbour. I didn't use the FSX Map, nor the GPS. It took nearly 14 hours. Talk about a stressfull flight, knowing that if you're off by a few degrees, or if the winds were different than forcasted, you could miss the islands alltogather. As for fuel, I flew with the engine power far back as possible with the fuel leaned and RPM's as back as I could, and ended up landing with only 20 or so gallons of fuel in each wing :o
