Best advice I can give you is to never rely on FS to log your flighttime. MS hasn't been able to get it right since FS95...lol
A spreadsheet will work well. I'm currently using notepad...

Don't you hate that? This same problem seems to exist in every version of Flight Simulator; wouldn't you think Microsoft could get something as simple as this right?
You can probably recover it though. I've seen an FSX logbook recovery utility around and also I think there's an FSX logbook editor. Check the usual file libraries. With luck all is not lost!

I had that prob some time back and it seemed to stem from deleting flights from the logbook. Unless I deleted them from the very last and on up, log book was screwed. If I did the 2nd or 3rd from the last--screwed. That worked for me, anyway.

Hello,
Review this thread regarding a freeware logbook editor for FSX.

I wish more options were available to edit your logbook. For instance, lets say I am flying from New York to London, and the flight is too long to complete in one sitting. So I have to save it and resume tommorrow. However, when you save it and start again your logbook counts it as two seperate flights. I wish there was a way to lump them together.

Pear40,
If you get the logbook editor that I mentioned in an earlier reply on this thread you can modify any logbook entry that you want along with adding new entries and deleting earlier entries that you do not want.
The logbook editor is really handy and I am glad that I found it.
