FSX won't save my window positions

Hi, I'm a newbie to the site who's looking to build a cockpit one day.
First things first though, I have a number of niggling problems and this is one.
I have 3 x 22" monitors running with a full screen on each (one day these will be projectors for the outer cockpit view). This works well, but I can't get FSX to start up with all the views positioned on the correct monitors after I save and reload the flight. They all open on the center monitor and I have to move them each time.
Feels like I've tried everything and almost concluded it's just how FSX is. However, FS9 is fine, so I'd have thought it would work on FSX. I just don't want to have to reposition all the windows each time I start up. :-/
Hope that makes sense? Any way around this?
[By the way, fantastic site this, so glad JBaymore passed me the link in the FsXpand support forum :) ]
